About the Program:
As a growing number of employees become eligible for retirement and decide to retire over the next five plus years, there is a recognized need to increase the number of employees with strong analytical skills, strong leadership skills, and a broad knowledge of Commercial and Customer Service (C&CS) area’s core business. This program has been designed to develop a pool of entry-level analysts with a strong foundation for success at SRP, so they can move into openings with a running start as more experienced analysts leave or move into more senior level positions.
Participants will complete a combination of six-month rotations within various areas of C&CS over a period of two years. The specific combination of rotations will vary by participant, based on their skills and interests, project opportunities, and business needs. In addition, participants are assigned a mentor for the duration of the program, and take part in periodic group training and developmental activities.
The first six years of the program have been very successful and we are looking to add two new positions to the program commencing July 2, 2007. We are especially interested in candidates with qualifications in the areas of accounting, business information systems, and economics.

How to Apply For the Program
Candidates will need to submit a current resume, college transcripts, and a letter of interest. The letter of interest should be no longer than two single-sided pages or one double-sided page. It should explain why the candidate wants to be in the program, how they expect to benefit from it, and how they have demonstrated the desired attributes. Candidates will also need to submit a letter of recommendation/reference. This can be submitted by the applicant if contained in a sealed envelop with a the signature of the reference across the sealed area.
Applicants must create a personal profile and input their resume via the SRP website, at https://www.srpnet.com/. Once on the home page, select the tab “Careers at SRP.” Next, select Job Openings for the position description; use the job description for “Analyst in Development (V-1655)”. We are a local Phoenix based software company that has developed a web-based application for collaborative project management. We have been in business since 1998 and all of our products have been designed as web-only applications.
We have patents pending and under review for several critical building blocks around thin-client web based database development.
Our clients include major retail stores (all corporate), vendors and suppliers who build and remodel their stores.

Five years ago our applications & user interface were leading edge- but technology has advanced in this area. We need to find ways to integrate new ideas & technologies into our applications such as Ajax to create dynamic page views, rolling data screens, and dashboards-- that make our solutions easier to use and more interactive.
Currently our applications are developed in Peril & Java script. We have an integrated web-based development platform that allows end-users, not technical IT departments to build & deploy applications without programming. This part is now emerging as a hot new category people are calling AaaS, Software as a Service, DYI app's etc.
We are looking for a couple of smart ASU students to look at our applications and source and to present some recommendations to our management team. Once we decide on the best ways to update our applications we need help to test and implement this technology.
